Well, I pretty much love this.  As do you, if you have eyes and a pulse.  Just…wow.  Quite wonderful how the Sentinels fit so snugly into the whole Mister X / Terminal City / Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow vibe Eric Tan has going on here.

  1. Ooooh, that’s neat!

And I see you’re running a newspaper around here now…looks good!

  2. Hey plok – yeah…getting my feet wet again! It’s been too long… Making big move from blogger. Ugh. So much detail work. I’m going to be putting up a link to this site on the old blogger one once I get the new space fixed up nice (and have reformatted all those old posts, etc.).

  3. I love the idea of having an Art & Artists column; well, “love the idea”, actually I’m jealous!

This X-Men poster really reminds me of that long-ago MTU that warped my brain so thoroughly — surely every cover-type picture of the X-Men ought to make you wonder “now what are these people all about, what are they up to?” Even having Storm and Wolverine there, a thing that for some reason usually annoys the hell out of me, makes me want to know more about…whatever this is.

  4. Oh, yeah…I notice this column moved rightward on the page, that’s neat too…you really ought to do an Art & Artists post every six posts or so…

Oh my God, wouldn’t it be wonderful if I could scroll rightwards through past columns?! Must check that now…

  5. Unfortunately not…oh well, next year I probably will be able to!

  6. Oh, I know. I would love an infinite right scrolling on this template! It’s a shame. BUT, the archived post pages are pretty spiffy-looking nonetheless.

And, yeah. Art & Artists. I just love to LOOK, as you know! Plenty more where that came from.

  7. Too bad you were in seclusion for my Panel Madness project! Will have to think of something else dastardly to get you to do…

  8. I don’t know how much WordPress.com lets you modify, and you’d need to get your hands dirty with PHP as well as HTML, but if you modify index.php and archive.php, you can change your home page and yearly archive from this to something like this!

  9. David! Wow! Thanks for that tip–very cool. I will have to get MUCH better with programing language before I attempt such a modification. My skills in this department are pretty close to zilch right now.
